As of 19/5/15 - Looking at the image from behind the goal and new pitch footings being dug, closest seat from behind the goal looks a good 60ft+ away from the pitch. Cannot see how those seats are going to get any closer?

looks like it'll be closer by the length of the metal things you can see on camera now,plus the conccrete bit at the back so quite a way

you can see on the proper plans how the lower tier starts wher eit ends now here from the planing permsission

Thanks Eggbert, hadn't realised, sorry Moose, no, I didn't see the thread from a few days ago, believe it or not, I wouldn't then of bothered posting this. It's only been in the last couple of days that they seem to have being marking out the pitch, i've pretty much ignored the renders - seem rather pointless - they are going to be hyped up, this is the first time I have seen something that could be a true reflection of inside the stadium

Deany, don't panic.
It's obvious from that link that the stadium has the new state-of-the-art zoom facility.

no that's the retracted position so to speak. in football mode the lower tier seating will begind where it ends now

They will need to do something about the massive gaps in future though between Upper and Lower Tier.
It gives the stadium a very strange look, even if you cover the gaps in claret and blue drapery, crests, flags etc.

Hopefully demand for tickets will be high, generating income so the club can then instigate changes further down the road that'll make the stadium better in the long run.

Eggbert, the OS threads are mainly about computer renders and if you look at the webcam link, it looks like that is where the retractable seating will finish as it is at ground level
